A few words about me
My name is Aristotelis Nikolaidis (Aris), and please let me tell you a few words, (i hope my photos speak better), about me and my involvement with photography.
I used to work as a senior journalist for at least 23 years in Greek television, magazines and newspapers, always having a camera in my hands to capture everything from my own perspective.
I decided to get involved with wedding photography because I always believed that such an important event in a couple's life, a true love story, was worth capturing in an artistic way and that the images would, over the years, be a rare treasure for the family. I love street photography and i believe that on the streets, a photographer can train his eye and his reflexes so that he can spontaneously capture the raw feelings and beauty of a wedding. I love cinema and I think filming has a lot to do with photography. I often make films that I use as an inspiration for my work.
In the years that i have been involved in wedding photography, I have been honored to see my work published on famous wedding blogs as well as to see my photos awarded in various competitions around the world and i was honored to be part of photography workshops.
But most of all, I think I have some of the characteristics of Peter Pan's syndrome, (after 20 years of living together with my wife i am still in love with her) which is why I believe I can communicate very well with people and tell their story through my lens and using my intuition.
